If words were never to be sentences
If we could have no language so as to speak
Would we have been closer
Or would life be a blurry streak?
If you & I didn’t mean you & I
Would you & I disappear or would we thrive
Do we still remain who we are
Or do we drift away into an abyss so far?
Seen so many fights, Seen so many riots
On language, On religion, On whose right
What if there was nothing to pronounce,
What if grammar was’nt allowed
What if the integrity of proper noun was in doubt
Would just our expressions still cause a revolt?
Ridiculous am I, Ridiculous my thought
But we created words so that we could reach out
Maybe its time to wipe the slate clean
Maybe its time to see beyond what we have seen
You & I shall be always You & I
But when you lose the words,
The one who shall speaks is the voice from inside
PS: Weirdly inspired by “Once you want to free your mind about a concept of harmony and music being correct, you can do whatever you want. So nobody told me what to do and there was no preconception of what to do.”- Giovanni Giorgio Moroder
